About Stem information

The Stem field provides information about the root or stem of a declinable Bengenese words, namely nouns, adjectives, determiners, and verbs. The declension class of a noun, adjective or determiner is indicated by a Roman numeral from I to XVI (some include lower-case letters), accounting for a total of 22 declension classes. Verbs belong to one of five conjugation class depending on their ending, identified by Arabic numerals (1–5). A hyphen is used to separate the stem from the declension/conjugation class.
